Anwu Village is located at JingYang county, Shaanxi province. It is about 90 kilometers away from Xi'an, 40 kilometers northwest from Xi'an International airport. It is a quiet and very typical ordinary village in the rural area of North China. There, you can enjoy not only the very green fresh milk, but also strongly sense local customs, history and culture, feel the economic development and the changes of the traditions and social norms in North China's rural area so that the very original atmosphere of traditional agriculture society of China lay out gradually before your eyes.

 
 
Anwu is getting popular, because it's the hometown of Anwu Willow and the Site of Anwu Youth Training Centre in 1940's during the Second World War.
 
 
At the end of Qing dynasty, when the Eight Power allied forces were invading Beijing, Dowager Cixi run away from the Forbidden City in Beijing and stayed in Xi'an for a while. Anwu widow Zhou, who was a successful merchant in salt business, donated Cixi a lot of money. Later widow Zhou was honored as Cixi's adopted daughter and was mandated a titled lady. After that widow Zhou built a magnificent house in Anwu village and named it small Beijing. Today the tourists can not only visit the beautiful stone relieves and sculptures in Anwu widow's family graveyard, but also can try the local rural food at famer's home, which must give you a very fresh and different experience.
 
 
The Site of Anwu Youth Training Centre, which was founded from 1937 to 1941, the first training school was set up by Communist Party of China during the resistance Japanese war. The Centre later turned into Chinese Anti-Japanese People's Political and Military Institute at that time. Now it is the first stop of Chinese Red Tourism Destinations in Shaanxi Province on its way to Yan'an. The site was in the Anwu widow's family grave yard, where the students could hide under the big trees when Japanese bombed Xi'an. Anwu village is also the hometown of the renowned master Wumi, who is specialized in traditional Chinese literature and philosophy study.
